Coos County commissioner candidates Randy Sanne, Fred Messerle and incumbent Bob Main will be answering questions at the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon today and everyone should try to attend, if possible. While I haven’t read it, apparently Jon Barton has penned a letter to the editor in the Myrtle Point Herald criticizing Sanne for pointing out the flaws in Barton’s interpretation of the solid waste budget which confirms the Messerle camp rightly recognizes Sanne has a shot at upsetting the best laid plans of Jon Barton & Company.
Barton, Pettit and Slater cannot and have never argued fact. We will depart the planet before the daily paper tells us there is a minority report. Hopefully your guy will respond today with verifiable facts. The position is Main’s to lose if he does a Stufflebean and sticks foot in mouth. The Chamber’s meeting announcement states there are “many issues” to be discussed therefore an early meeting start. Yet at the Messerle web site, not an original thought, not a single “issue”, just a crappy job of cut and paste of the Barton, Pettit, and Slater opinions. Barton is betting his campaign donation on Messerle. Interesting that the Sause family has $2,000 for Messerle and not one cent fior their 38 year employee Sweet. Of course, the tribe and members continues to support their candidate Cribbins.
