According to OGEC, the complaint filed against the structure committee does appear to indicate clear violation of public meetings law, however, the ethics commission is limited in its scope of authority. How the hell do the taxpayers of Coos County watch this charade decade after decade and do NOTHING about it????? Are they Zombies who’s brains have been sucked from their skulls?
It’s always another ten million and ten years down the road, in the meantime, we take our hundred thousand dollar salaries all the way to the bank, laughing all the way, that people can be so stoopid.
Accountability? I would argue one point. These people don’t want to “take over” this county. They have already done that. SCDC has sucked how many hundreds of thousands out of the local economy, the second un-needed airport terminal at $50 thousand, pipelines which Roblan absolved from paying their fees for using the pipeline, the $300 million in just the last ten years into the Port Hole, and what has happened to the county under THEIR LEADERSHIP? These guys have run this county for twenty years, what do they have to show for it? Tell us SCDC, Airport Board, Chamber of Consorts. Tell us exactly what you’ve done with OUR money. What jobs are here because of YOUR efforts.
Then perhaps you won’t be so disliked. Perhaps we just don’t understand you. If you opened your records, we would be most pleased.
How fitting that Al would liken the Structure Committee violations to a Monty Python movie. That speaks volumes about the people who are attempting to take over our county.

As for the structure committee, what are they afraid of? Why don’t they just produce the materials they worked from and the conversations and correspondence they shared between themselves and outside of public view?
Al is just making what he thinks is a clever comparison, except that the picture and movie were just recently used to spoof his “friends”, so he probably Wiki’d it to find out what the joke was about. Meaning he’s always been an outsider trying to fit in. Sad.

When I read your interesting translation of the State’s response to your ethics complaint I was immediately reminded of the Black Knight in Monty Python’s “Holy Grail” who was quickly diminished to only a head and torso, having lost his legs, arms and sword to King Arthur.
