Unofficial figures have the recall petition signature tally at over 4,100. The committee continues to gather signatures to obtain a buffer for any invalidated signatures.
Meanwhile, I have learned of five individuals interested in applying for the position of interim commissioner if Stufflebean loses a recall election. Three are unknown to me but I find it interesting so many people are interested in the position at this early date. Apparently, there is some acknowledgment the recall may prevail.
Yup, we are going to have to stay vigilant and make our opinions well known. ( a little bird told me that Whitty only values emails and phone calls and disregards the opinions of those who take the time to show up for a BOC meeting).
A couple of those interested are, I believe, interested for the right reasons and would make thoughtful, researched choices with a bent on long term benefits to the County.
Will be interesting to see if Whitty and Main can find anyone that they agree upon since they rarely agree on anything else
