The disconnect between Bush and the reality of life on the ground for our military is so wide and so deep….

“It must be exciting for you … in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You’re really making history, and thanks,” Bush said.

… that we could only hope that he would offer to be Commander in Chief of the Taliban or al Qaeda to give our forces a leg up on the opposition. When he was younger and unemployed he avoided his opportunity for romantic adventure so I say we give him a candlelit night in Kandahar. Maybe someone could arrange some fireworks and a mortar serenade too.
