Read MoreMGx has been made aware via the proverbial grapevine that the Myrtle Point Herald has been sold. This morning I placed a call to the Herald asking for editor Mary Schamehorn to confirm the report and was told she wasn’t in so I asked if the receptionist if the paper had been sold. She told me someone would have to get back to me and I left a number and when no one called me back I called again. Schamehorn was again unavailable and this time the receptionist informed the paper would neither confirm nor deny the report.
