MGx has been made aware, via the proverbial grapevine, that the Myrtle Point Herald has been sold. This morning I placed a call to the Herald asking for editor Mary Schamehorn to confirm the report and was told she wasn’t in so I asked the receptionist if the paper had been sold. She told me someone would have to get back to me and I left a number and when no one called me back I tried again. Schamehorn was still unavailable but this time the receptionist informed me the paper would neither confirm nor deny the report.
Bye Mary! Wouldn’t it be nice to say that as you leave city hall also.
Mary’s fate will not be known til the end of the week, I understand…
Maybe they haven’t told Mary yet.
