What consenting adults do on their own time is their business but when it crosses over into the workplace, especially when that workplace is Coquille City Hall, it may be problematic. More than that it may indicate a systemic carelessness and disregard on the part of the city’s supervisory staff, including the police chief, Scott Sanders.
To begin, Coquille City Recorder Kelly Benson began an OnlyFans account late in 2022 under the moniker, TheFinnishElf. For those unfamiliar with OnlyFans, it allows people to produce adult content and sell it online. TheFinnishElf also maintains an Instagram and TikTok account. 
No big deal except that some of the content was created while on the job working at city hall. Some content shows computer screens with potentially sensitive information in the background along with the city logo on business cards.
An email this morning to Coquille City Manager Forrest Neuerburg asking what city policy is regarding social media has so far gone unanswered.

Benson has been a prolific contributor to OnlyFans in the few months she has maintained the channel and claims in one comment to trying to build her channel to earn extra money so she can quit her stressful job. She further attributes the stress to the people she works with, however anything said on OnlyFans may be part of the persona developed to appeal to subscribers. Benson may have restricted her OnlyFans account this morning, but Geddry has stored copies of all content.
As reported on Geddry previously, Benson is in a relationship with Coquille Officer Clayton Makinson. In court filings relating to his divorce from Jessica DeSimone, it is alleged that Makinson coerced DeSimone into opening an OnlyFans account and other adult sites to earn extra money. It is further alleged that Makinson is a porn addict and according to bank records he may have frequented online porn sites while on patrol. City management have been made aware of these allegations in the past but have not acted.
A frequent commenter on Benson’s channel, “Acethefan” is alleged to be Makinson. In the email to Neuerburg I asked if the officer was on duty when simultaneously commenting on Benson’s channel.
Makinson is currently under DHS investigation for injuries to his young son incurred while in the care of Benson and Makinson. This investigation may have prompted this video post aimed at “Jessica” on TheFinnishElf Instagram.
DeSimone’s warnings were ignored by his supervisors as coming from a disgruntled exwife. Nonetheless, Makinson is one of the most complained about officers this site receives and the public deserves a serious review of Makinson’s professional conduct.
Surely this whole thing is a joke right? I follow Kelly on OF and there is nothing untoward there at all. She shows class and style, something that this article doesn’t have. Just leave her and her boyfriend alone and let them live their lives! From what I hear, it’s his ex wife that is the problem here

Unfortunately, you are correct. It is important to protect oneself from law enforcement these days and yes, it does happen everywhere. When city management ignores these problems the only recourse is making sure the public are alerted to the problem so they can mitigate the damage as best they can.
