County commission candidate and January 6th insurrectionist, Rod Taylor isn’t afraid to dish out some heat, but he doesn’t like it when the tide is turned. Geddry has documented two incidents where the police had to be called on Taylor. Once when he harassed a family with a bullhorn at their home for reporting an unsafe business and another when he menaced a peaceful demonstration by reaching for his sidearm.
At Tuesday’s County commission meeting, someone, (I wish I knew who so I could shake their hand), confronted Taylor outside of the Owen Building in Coquille and loudly told him he was a “f***ing traitor”. Along with his CRL (Citizens Restoring Liberty) mob there were calls for the sheriff to arrest the agitator for exercising his right to free speech. If you can’t take the heat, get out of the fire.
Taylor is a traitor, in my opinion, and like his Oath Keeper friends he should be convicted of seditious conspiracy and obstruction of an official proceeding. Make no mistake, he tried to oppose by force the lawful transfer of presidential power and in so doing and in keeping with the 14th Amendment, Section 3 has forfeited any right to hold any elected office in the United States.
Section 3: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.
Taylor constantly talks about following the constitution. If he has any decency he will immediately resign from the Port of Bandon and the Transit Board and go hang his head in shame. If not, those boards should take immediate action to remove him for violating his oath of office.
