You realize Fred Messerle doesn’t even know the figure of the county budget, don’t you? He said 50 million when it’s over 100 million. And this makes him qualified for something other than shoveling manure? He’s had time to learn that don’t you think?
Let me repeat:
Fred Messerle thought the county had 50 mill. dollars, when it’s actually 100 mill? Maybe Fred just has too much money, he’s forgotten how to count?
How could this man not know how much money this county works with? That’s a big NO VOTE FOR MESSERLE.
Regarding Mr. Messerle and his time to be commissioner. Every commissioner for the many years that I have followed local politics has stated that the job is more than 24/7. Parry has time to run the family business while his wife is ill and to do a radio show. Messerle is honest at his filing papers and at his web site. He has time to run the family business, serve on various boards around town, etc. hile commissioner. I do not expect more than Zip and Zilch. I only wish that Sanne had accepted our suggestion and ran for a different position where he would win.
I saw the man (Fred) sit like a fattened bull frog after Bob Main mopped the floor with him regarding their duties for the previous week. Now I WAS a fan of Bob Main, but after what he’s pulled he’ll get no votes from me again. Anyway, Bob had been all over the state the previous week, meetings all over the place, actually working, when it came time for ol Freddy, he said simply, as Fred does, that he attended a “gala” in Brookings on Friday of that week. Zip ! Zilch! Boom !, that was it, that was what Fred did to earn his money from us. I’ll never forget it. He didn’t even seem embarassed to admit he’d done absolutely NOTHING at his “job” with the county. Amazing, and this one family alone pulls in hundreds of thousands of dollars every damn year, then turn around and tell US what we should do? I think the best thing we can do in this county is clean house from these maggots feeding on public funds. THERE ! Doesn’t that feel better? Yuck !

Sadly Grile ignored facts before his meeting. He is a Messerle man. Some folks close to him from his days before being fired as Coos Bay City Manager say that he is jockeying for the county manager job – as is Mike Lehman. How many of you saw Frances Smith the county department head out sticking Messerle signs into the ground? When watching video did you note that Messerle,thinks the county budget is $50 mil – not $111 mil? Did you note that he “nneds” a CEO so he can play Washington traveler? Shouldnt his pay be reduced to be commensurate with his duties? His web site is a cut and paste of the Structure Committee opinions? This fellow is a joke.

Hint: Bill Grile of the governance committee doesn’t regard volunteer elected officials as “professionals” … but he sure wants us to have three or five elected amateurs on the board of commissioners
