According to Teri Marshall of the Oregon Employment Relations Board, the Administrative Law Judge hearing the Unfair Labor Practice filed against the County over allegations stemming from the firing of 22 County road workers has investigated the complaint and has determined that an issue of fact or law exists which requires a hearing. “The parties have been sent the ALJ’s available dates to schedule the hearing and the parties are conferring on dates and we are awaiting a reply to the offered hearing dates.”

The ULP claim for damages includes restoration of jobs and back wages. Damages to the County should the ULP prevail could exceed $650,000 if the matter is not resolved within six months from filing.
