There is quite a full agenda at the Port commission next week including the renewal of Ken Messerle’s consulting contract. More than a year ago, Messerle was given a raise of $500 to a total of $2500 when he took over “a bit more work” from consultant Steve Marks who received $6,500 per month from the Port. Messerle is brother to commissioner Fred Messerle and brother-in-law to SCDC director, Sandy Messerle.
Has anyone seen the train running up there on the north end of the county? There has been little to no news about the Coos Bay Rail Line but there is a plan to declare yet another emergency to enable repair of one of the tunnels. There are many more action items include an option with Jordan Cove Energy Partners.
The meeting is February 16 at 7PM at the Port offices.
When we taxpayers run out of Messerle’s who do little or nothng while dining at the public trough, are we obligated to hire Messerle’s cows that are also trained to eat at the trough? About the train, we have heard the horn. We are in the area every day. A few rail cars are near the wood chip pile. But nobody has seen the train.
