Structure advisory committee co-chair Al Pettit presented a condensed version of the power point given before the December 7, 2011 joint governance and structure meeting. Slides dealing with Curry County and the suggestion that Coos County will be “bankrupt” within months has been removed. The video will demonstrate what happens when facts get in the way of a desired goal or a hidden agenda.
At no time during Pettit’s presentation does he acknowledge the dissenting view of three of the seven committee members, not even when he falsely claims that the committee had reached a unanimous decision in support of the findings and conclusions at a November 9 meeting.
I thought Al invented the microwave oven, or was it the I-Pad? Such integrity on display is blinding.
Whatever Al knew about IT when he was in retail sales the industry has changed faster than he has kept up with. Nevertheless, I guess he is happy living out his dream to sell motorcycle parts by the bay
Whatacrokacrap!!! Although viewing this condensed version is better than viewing the several hours long full loadashit. For those who do not know, after Charlie saved Apple, long after he was terminated by Apple, he did have a good job with Citrix. He should know IT. The man fails to support any of his arguments. He guesses at where monies will come from to support his grandiose recommendations. He quotes the World paper, a paper that should not be called world or even local, a paper that lost its credibility long ago, a paper silent on the minority report or on any pary of the Charlie report that is unsupported. He continues to toss turds into the punch bowl. The man is impressed with himself. His objectives leave little to the imagination. Main was correct about firing the guy. But, Robert Bob, remember that you created the monster before you drive the stake into his heart. It’s apparent that ill prepared to manage county goverment Parry and Messerle who promoted this idiotic management by committee concept must now struggle to convince us that Charlies suggestions have merit.
“Al you’re wrong about that”.
Al :
“Sorry, this was taken right out of The World”.
Thanks for verifying that Al. Wrong as usual.
Ol’ Al is going to get/has been left out to wring in the wind all by his lonesome, what a patsy he was for Jon Barton. Sleazy people all around.
Sorry for the volume, I was hoping to drown Al out. The reader will have to decide whether Al is confused, dishonest or both but regardless, if the commission is taking him seriously the public are screwed either way. To me, it indicates that some of our commissioners have really poor taste in advisors
The music is a nice touch but a bit loud. As for Al, is he just confused about the meaning of the word “unanimous” or is he simply a liar?
From the git-go, the only purpose of the Structure Committee has been to impose one-man rule (a county administrator) on Coos County government, and then privatize every county department that’s not state-mandated. That self-satisfying load Al Pettit dumped in the County Commissioners meeting was intended to justify doing that. Jon Barton was smart to stay away. It would take a lot to make Jon blush, but that would have done it.
Al does aim for the doom and gloom perspective so I thought I would help him set the mood
It does add the appropriate edge-of-doom importance to the proceedings.
Yup, O Fortuna the fisherman’s lament… been dying to use that for ages
CARMINA BURANA? REALLY?
