Sharon Shinnick celebrated her first day of retirement after twenty years of county service with a liberating and scalding assessment of the current board of commissioners. Reading from a prepared statement that was probably two years in the making Shinnick scolded the board for being dysfunctional, micromanaging and for being unavailable to department heads and for not knowing what they are doing. She accused Bob Main of theatrics, planning a spontaneous decision for the benefit of the cameras, and of making ill thought decisions. She ridiculed Cam Parry of being incompetent to liaise with the Road Department and of leaving the department without discretionary authority to run day to day operations.

Main tried to counter some of her statements but Shinnick just fired right back at him and when the video is available I will post a clip…
