Trying to keep pace with the doings at the county and the Port of Coos Bay is an effort at any time and especially difficult when attention is diverted by a very emotional murder trial. Nevertheless, I am catching up and I must say it feels great to be back to politics and there are some happenings worthy of bringing everyone up to date. Over the weekend I will try to elaborate on the latest at the Port and its efforts to export coal and the county’s continued efforts to “privatize” public resources like water and timber.
