The commissioners began the first meeting of the year by electing a new board chair. Chairman John Sweet thanked everyone for the privilege and then specifically took his name out of the running for chairman and vice chairman. Bob Main nominated Melissa Cribbins and the board voted unanimously to elect her as chair and Main will now be the vice chair.
The board chair is usually responsible for setting and approving the agenda and running the meetings.
Great! I feel much more secure. We will all soon be wealthy with taxes reduced. Paraphrasing a leader before her – a feather in every cap, more chlorine in all water, more tax money in the SCDC envelope and vodka in every cup.
Well, it will certainly give us a full opportunity to witness how she holds up under pressure.
