This is just too funny not to share. On August 2, ORCCA executive director, Mike Lehman, verbally advised staff that he could monitor all internet activity and track IP numbers not just from work but from home. Anyone commenting on MGx, according to reports, should consider their jobs in jeopardy. Four days later, apparently forgetting his earlier statements, Lehman sent a staff email alluding to a “rumor” that he was tracking internal “internet usage” and monitoring “all emails” and that while this was perfectly legal practice, he had no knowledge of this “happening at ORCCA.”
Now, reports are coming in of Lehman prowling the building to catch a glimpse of MGx on computer screens and that he has now instructed the IT department to block staff from reading MGx on the ORCCA network. “The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers.” Princess Leia
TonyCapo is correct. The hiring of Lehman was a done deal; he appeases the incrowd of barton and the chamber. The board hired him to quell the local gods. And he’s doing a bang up job for them! The World is ignoring all the chaos; much like they do at the chamber. And the board is happy. Staff however is paying the price. Everyone knows whos next on the chopping block and they have no one to turn to. Douglas is Lehmans mole; anything you tell her goes straight to Lehman. Lehman has placed people in key positions that do not have the required education but they know how to say yes. Anyone who questions him is in danger but the board doesn’t care. South Coast Food Share is in the hole and now their admin funds are in the hole but the board doesn’t care. As long as the good ole boys that run this county is happy, the board is happy.
As we all sit back and wait for the walls to inevitabely come tumbling down on Lehman, Douglas and Misterly….I wonder if those that have found allegiance with the “3 STOOGES” even Johns girlfriend at Food Share have thought about what they are going to do for work once their ill gotten titles and undeserved raises are pulled from them. Lack of morals, ethics and integrity will be the catalyst for the turmoil soon following. Once your position is taken from you Mike, what shall you do? ORCCA. was apparently the last place in the county that wasn’t aware of your evil ways. Where shall you go next? Maybe Benetti needs kitchen staff. Douglas is really in a pickle since she is far too old to be marketable in todays economy especially since she is so obviously lacking in the very things employers look for (morals, integrity, loyalty) and lets not forget about John…..downhill side of middle aged, arrogant, self centered, no self esteem and a “taste” for subordinant females on his staff. However will you get them to like you John when your position is stripped and you have nothing left to offer them to accept and like you? Maybe Laura really does care for you and will follow you to your next venture…..only time will tell.
The Peter Principle at work. Funny, it should have been obvious from prior positions held. Unfortunately, many hiring boards are also made from graduates of Peter Principle University. Many attained their degree with the help of subordinates managing up (someone has to actually do the work). If one is interested in learning more I would suggest a look at other home town public entities. Pay particular attention to see how many wives, husbands, sons, daughters, and cousins are employed at the same time. Nothing to see here, move along…
It really is just sad to see how in such a short time Lehman has ruined what once was a good organization. There still are dedicated employees who believe in providing services to the public. But Lehman has turned ORCCA leadership into a hostile intimidating environment where bullies like John Misterly are in management roles making $20 sum dollars an hour making everyone in his path miserable unless of course you suck up and stroke his ego. He barks orders and tells staff how stupid they are and cross him and you will be fired. Lehman has welcomed this kind of behavior after all that is how he rules ORCCA. Carol Douglas HR has no morals or ethics as she will throw anyone under the buss to save her job, she has proven that time and time again. Lehman has his mole in Carol and don’t think speaking to Carol in private or thinking your situation with be held in confidence because Carol doesn’t have a confidential bone in her body. She will head straight for Lehman and Misterly office to tell all. Anyone complaining to Carol about mistreatment by management must be prepared to be reprimanded because she will go tell the person you complained to her about. Where is the ORCCA board? Why are they allowing this to continue? Are they being manipulated? Do they care?
Why you ask? Because he is nothing more than another “development lackey” (my opinion only)who have put their sorry asses on every board in this county. Purpose? To suck the life-blood from every public funding source coming into Coos County, that’s why. And control, so that we cannot move forward in a clean responsible way, we are stuck here hoping for a timber/resource revolution which ain’t ever coming. We The People have to stop allowing these charlatans to occupy seats of control, and we have to do it soon. SCDC, Chamber,Port, and the rest. And their Washington DC hitmen they are now paying to fleece the people one more time.
When you consider Lehman on the Airport Board, and the fat arsses of Barton and Benetti (my opinion only of course)on the same, and then you wonder why we haven’t shuttered that failure of a second terminal which is rusting into the sands, and gone back to the original site until the economy improves, Lehman is why. They would rather pay thousands and thousands to keep the escalators and lights running for said, then you understand why Lehman is in over his head. He always has been, so has Barton and His Amazing Satellite Tracking Machines he pedaled all over Coos County at $30 thousand a pop, never used of course. THEN you understand why Florence and Bandon and LIncoln City and every city in between except when you cross the bridge into Coos County, has moved forward and created welcoming and inviting atmospheres for their visitors. These boys have rusted, graffiti covered railroad cars lined up on the waterfront 24/7, here. Thank them when you see them on the street, but watch out, the slithering Walrus might accost you, don’t step in front of him, you may never be seen again. Belch belch, burp.
Yes, that is just so funny, Lehman has not changed his behavior and could it be the same stuff he was pulling at the county. The ORCCA board should have done their own background checking on Lehman instead they left that up to Lehman’s high school friend Carol Douglas HR for ORCCA, which we all know Douglas is unethical and is not above application sabotage, manipulation, losing employment applications and let us not forget requesting disciplinary wrong doing write ups be removed from her personnel file and Lehman eagerly agreeing to remove them. This unethical behavior taking place between two Human Resources people. ORCCA staff should be very afraid of these two Douglas and Lehman after all they both have proven to be loyal to each other. The board has known for years they had a problem with Douglas and breaching confidentiality, gossiping, giving special treatment to staff she liked. Lehman is inexperienced to be attempting to run a 10 million dollar agency is it surprising that he is attempting to instill fear in employees???? The ORCCA board was aware Lehman had no knowledge in the job and hired him anyway. Why???
And to think, everything is running so smoothly and everyone is so happy – or so he tells the Board. Next he will be frisking staff!

This is so typical of Mike. Look for hidden cameras and microphones he is crazy paranoid and manic. Check how many calls he makes during the day especially to his wife. Watch to see if his dropping Tums like candy
