Dubbed the Oregon Monsanto Protection Act by Food Democracy Now, SB 633, introduced by Arnie Roblan (D), would strip local citizen’s and Oregon farmer’s rights by making it illegal to determine best agricultural practices at the local county level.
(2) The economic benefits resulting from agricultural seed, flower seed and vegetable seed and seed product industries in this state make the protection, preservation and promotion of those industries a matter of statewide interest that warrants reserving exclusive regulatory power over agricultural seed, flower seed and vegetable seed and products of agricultural seed, flower seed and vegetable seed to the state; and
(3) The agricultural seed, flower seed and vegetable seed and seed product industries in this state will be adversely affected if those industries are subject to a patchwork of local regulations. + }
SECTION 3. { + (1) As used in this section, ‘local government ‘ has the meaning given that term in ORS 174.116.
(2) Except as provided in subsection (3) of this section, a local government may not enact or enforce a measure, including

Roblan and his fellow dimocrats have been busy !!
Here’s a piece from today’s Register Guard, another piece you’ll never see in Clarks’ piece of crap paper, it’s the push by the dimocrats, mainly Roblan, to reduce pensions of workers in Oregon. Real dimocratic of ya Arnie. He says this, admitting he’s asking a lot of old people:
“We’re asking them to give some of their hard-earned retirement back in order to make a substantial reinvestment in our schools and our future,” said Sen. Arnie Roblan, D-Coos Bay, a retired public-school principal.
Only problem is, under Arnie’s leadership, how many schools have closed in Coos County? How many good teachers have left for better jobs?
Yeah, Arnie, I’ll pull that finger of yours again. Not. Arnie funds the Port, and to hell with our schools. Dollar for dollar, we’d be okay if Arnie spoke the truth about his funding priorities. My opinion only. And some facts thrown in.
Cutting pensions of older workers, real dimocratic party ya got here in Coos County.

You’ll NEVER read this in Clarks’ piece of crap.
Let us not forget the Big Dim in DC puts former head of Monsanto in charge of FDA.
What do you expect from the dimocrats? Truth? Justice? Ha! Still looking for glass slippers? YOU HAVE NO CHOICE, IT’S ONE BIG CORPORATE CESSPOOL NOW. And the lifesaver in the White House is in the pool with them.
VOTE THIRD PARTY and stop voting for your own abuse.
Roblan is placing much of the agricultural community in Coos County in danger by his shilling for Monsanto. We are, after all, the original “Organic Valley” and our thriving organic dairy industry is susceptible to this kind of shenanigans.
This rule is being pushed to benefit the planting of GMO canola in the Willamette Valley which will probably devastate the other agricultural interests there.
What are you bitching about? Get used to it. USA did the same thing to farmers in Iraq after our illegal, immoral invasion of that country. Took their right away to use their own seeds and required them to use Monsanto-laced death-cell ones provided by??????
USA. I can’t tell yet what Arnie’s purpose was, is he protecting the farmers FROM or FOR Monsanto?? I’m not quite sure at this moment.
