One of the first items on the agenda at today’s commissioners meeting was to elect a new board chairman and vice chairman. Bob Main, the only reelected incumbent and four year term commissioner seconded a motion to appoint John Sweet chairman by Melissa Cribbins and then moved to make Cribbins vice chairman. Both motions passed unanimously.
Amongst other business the board opted to hold a work session to further discuss water mitigation banking with the county’s 491 AF fill permit and invite District Water Master, Mitch Lewis and pay resource attorney Ron Yoakim to discuss the merits of the concept.
Cribbins says she wants to set a work session in order to discuss the PSU study. Phil Thompson warned the commissioners not to hide behind the study when making related decisions because it lacks credibility in the eyes of the voters.
Sounds like Cribbins has quite an agenda planned. Sweet and Cribbins will take time to locate the toilet let alone lead the county. Why wasn’t Main the overwhelming choice for chairman?
Wise man once said, “there’s eyes in the hills, sit back watch & listen, take it all in”.
Main is giving them plenty of rope to hang themselves with.
