There is a meeting this morning to discuss the solid waste department and it is rumored the lame duck commissioners will officially convert it to a privately operated transfer station controlled by Waste Connections. The board has never addressed the $1 million in fees the county may be owed by Waste Connections.
Meeting is at the Owen Bldg from 9 to 11 for those who are able to attend.
