Mr. RobLester, please do not try and tell us that IDM ORC did not know before last week that they were stopping operations. These are not credible people. Even a blind man could see that Messerle and Parry feared executing that lease for a year hoping that Main would join them. Then the blame could go to Main who with more senioity should have known this was a bad deal and should have stopped them. Main is apparently not a dumb as they hoped. IDM ORC has been on the verge of collapse for years. You should have followed public information about your company. You sir have been fed baloney. Blame the local person who claims to have been the CEO of two major companies, a trustee of the bankruptcy court, a high level port commissioner, an airport commissioner for not warning you employees that collapse could happen. The IDM ORC managers objective was obvious, get the stock puffed to a point where the company principals could unload their worthless stock and could exercise and sell their stock options. If they could puff the stock by just five cents, much of their millions of unerexercised options would be worth something.
As I said in previous posts.We employees new this was coming. And it would not have if the lease had been signed a year ago. Investors were not willing to bet on a 7 year reserve, but a 15 to 20 they would have. Now, the sample drilling would have needed to be done to see how much chromite is there, that would have been a factor, although, if it were good ( as it is thought to be ), investors would have jumped in, even with the economy. So, blame yourselves and the people who stalled this, all of us do. ( ORC employees that lost jobs )…Happy Now?
As I all ready stated, if anyone knows of $18.00 a hour jobs with benefits, please let me know, I will send you my resume..Hurry though, I will be packing up soon to move out of State to mother in laws, can not afford rent on unemployment, and landlord can not afford to lower rent.
Thanks again, really appreciate people messing with our livelihood that have nothing better to do. My wife, my kids, and 44 other employees wives and children thank you also……..

No, Ron, a lease would not have had any impact on the global market your own CEO is blaming. However, if you want to blame this on a lease then blame the two outgoing commissioners for not signing long ago

Did you get that this time?
Did you work there?…Did you sneak in and go to communication meetings that I was at?
Did you get to see things only ORC employees should have?
I explained this on the other topic. And said it above, twice now. Yes, even with the economy, we would have had a few investors that would have jumped on it.
I do not know how much more to explain this to you….
The more reserves we have, the more profit, and the more wiggle room to store it and be willing to wait 6 months to a year for the reserves to go down. ( but you do not know about that part )
So, yes, we would still be running, we would still be buying presents for our family, yes, unemployment would be the same, and not up by 45 people. ( do not forget the trickle down effect, it will be far more then that )
Yes, the stalling of the lease cost us our jobs. I know, I worked there. We can only hope ( but not holding my breath ) that the drilling will be soon, and the percentage of chromite will be high, and maybe, just maybe, a investor will jump in sooner then 6 to 12 months. Or, maybe some will here about this and jump in….Doubtful.
Either way, blame who you want…..We know who is to blame on this.
And blaming does not pay our bills…..

ORC had no intention of providing you with a long term career nor making a contribution to the local economy. You need to be resentful toward ORC not the people whom are able to see through ORC’s shill. If you would not have been distracted by chasing the pie in the sky you would have done your own homework regarding ORC’s due diligence previous to your employment. The need to do sample drilling is a lie. They sample drilled this long ago. They know what is there & now that they have a re-ASSignable lease they have a free pass to sheet on you & shop a price for the entire operation. ORC has never intended to see this through to the end. Blame yourself for chasing carrots & blame ORC for looking out for #1. How does it feel to be used?

Here is your ORC X-Mas present. If you where getting $18 an hour you where getting screwed. Employees of the enterprise zone where to be paid 150% of average gross income. AGI is roughly 36K a year or $17.31 an hour. Plus 150% is $25.97 per hour. Lets round it to an even $8 per hour that you where being shorted. I bet ORC did pay $26 per hour, they paid it to your Port President & owner of West Coast Contractors who setup a mining company called West Coast Miners. At 45 employees being shorted $8 per hour that comes out to be $360 an hour going into the owners pocket. Someone is going to have a nice X-Mas irregardless of the 45 employees being employed or not. Question for you, did they kiss you before being “F”ed?

I guess it is true, “you cain’t fix stupid”… Stop thinking like the worker bee sheeple whom is being taken advantage of & think like an entrepreneur. I have read through corporate filings by IDM, observed presentations of deceit by ORC to county commissioners & have no problem pissing on your parade of charades. I could care less if the county land is mined. I care about just compensation to the county for its natural resources. This place will continue to be depressed as long as the local yolkals buy off on charades with the likes of the ones played by ORC.

The commissioners will vote on a resolution tomorrow on the consent calendar to adopt the ORC surface use lease as amended at the “hearing”. Technically, these would mean that the lease has not yet been executed… I think
