Bob Main still leads by 12 votes according to the unofficial totals run this evening. The report can be found here
Main holds 12,663 votes to Fred Messerle’s 12,651. A recount is mandatory with a margin of less than .2%. Messerle’s $30,443.26 in campaign expenses coupled with $2,268.80 paid on his behalf by the CCAP PAC(K) average to $2.59 per vote compared to Main’s $1.82 per vote who spent $23,063 this election.
Anyone but that crooked Messerle!
These Messerlies have been running this county for decades, why would anyone think things will change putting them in power again? Come on Coos Countians, they’ve had forty years to bring big, extractive, polluting ONLY corporations into this county, they have failed to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars pouring into this county, it doesn’t reach the schools, the habitually unemployed and the poor, it flows right into Sause’s, Knutson, and to a lesser degree the hangers-on like al pettit who lap up the spoils for his personal gain. Just stop listening to these guys, it’s quite easy, you tell yourself, “we gave them decades, they failed”
We could be like Florence, even like Newport, but Sause and Knutson don’t really want anything to do with progress folks, if they did, we wouldn ‘t be the Anus of Oregon.
Follow the damned money, works every time. Sauce wants his prime parking spot for his tugboats, how hard is that to see?
Won’t stop until they are stopped.
Prime current example? Folks responding on the World Facebook page how thrilled they are with Jesse’s reporting of the train, “long as it’s not using public money” they state. Imagine that, I guess Jesse didn’t mention that in her lovely coverage of the train. It’s nothing but a guaranteed paycheck for our own Koch heads at the Port, plain and simple. Another lie Clark REFUSED to print in his glowing hand job about the port and their rusted railroad to nowhere. Think about it, and stop listening to the snake oil salesmen, or grab your ankles for another decade, and watch how bad this county is going to look.
FOLLOW THE F’N MONEY FOLKS. Even little al supports the system, he likes that free money too.
Thanks for info. Survived shock. I am among those who do not expect current news in the local daily garbage can liner. Nor do I expect news that is not favorable to their pals. Today we get front page Messy is losing by 12 votes. Of course the mush for brains garbage can liner people did not hesitate to say Main would not speak with them and that Messy thinks this is all a big error. The people dont want you Messy, or your committees, or your adminisitrator, or your selling county assets,or your hole under county forest. Main is not alone not wanting to speak with the Kiwi from the garbage can liner. I recall that Griffith also refused to speak with a constipated brain reporter then covering county government.
Main is deliberately not returning calls from The World.”Why waste an honest response on a tabloid…”
It would be nice if we knew which votes were being counted. I rejected the idea that the intent is to keep counting until Messy is elected, but its starting to look like something is crook in musslebrook as the folks down under would say. I recall the envelope stating if I dont sign, my vote does not count. So why is it being counted? Also, if Lane county can do a manual recount by yesterday, why is smaller Coos County not done?
Voters had until 5PM yesterday to sign their ballots in order that their vote be counted. There is no time stamp on the unofficial results but received a call after 5PM telling him he was ahead.
Oh the web we weave when we practice to deceive!
Of course Fred has favors to deliver for all those thousands of PAC dollars contributated to his campaign. Lease the Couny forest to a company digging it’s own grave? If you dig yourself $86 million in the hole, when do you stop digging? You don’t stop because you have bought Fred Messerle for $5 grand.
“When you’re in a hole stop digging.”
Dennis Healy
I just want Messy to lose by one vote – mine! How much of that money must be returned in favors to ORC, Jordan Cove and others?
ORC, Sause, Jordan Cove and others should have found a better managed PAC to invest in. Evidently, the wizards at CCAP don’t really have the pulse of the people and or the people don’t trust their judgment.
