Coos County has a combined budget of $110 million with the general fund comprising approximately $21 million. Of the counties utilizing the council/administrator form of governance how many have unpaid commissioners? What size budgets are they responsible for overseeing?
If anyone knows please share.
Thanks
Video of the governance advisory committee presentation is available at Coos Media Center [Begins at 3:46:30]
Thank you, I will try to follow up this week
My Salem friend says that information is known to the Association of Oregon Counties (www.aocweb.org/aoc/default.aspx) (see governance structure for a list of counties with administrators). Problem, she can’t remember who in organization has info. She says that contact with the following person should get desired info.
County Commissioner Tammy Baney (Deschutes County)
President of Assn of Oregon Counties Board of Directors

Who in their right mind would work 24 / 7 as a county commissioner anywhere FOR FREE as advocated by the World paper and their pals who support the “deam team”? Would you really want a person working for free? You get what you pay for!
