According to an email circulated by radio host Jim Bice, Al Pettit will be his guest tomorrow between 3 and 5PM on KWRO 630 AM. Pettit will “give his side of the story”, whatever that means, because apparently speaking out at the joint governance committee meeting, the board of commissioners meetings, the chamber luncheons and three or four newspaper articles and editorials isn’t enough to really bring home his point. That point, presumably, is that he wasn’t irresponsible to tell the planet, falsely, that public health records are at risk, that the county is more vulnerable to hackers than any other system and to wrongfully imply the solid waste department is full of drug abusers.

Perhaps he will explain how a visit to a Manhattan IT department years back qualifies him as the lone expert on county systems. Maybe he will provide his definition of the term “unanimous consensus” as it differs from, say, the sheriff’s. The more Pettit tries to save face the more egg he gets on it so if you have the opportunity you might want to listen and report back to me as it should be pretty entertaining.
