After a nice holiday respite it is back to the grindstone for those of us who watch local politics and at tomorrow’s BOC meeting the commission will choose a new chairman. According to the agenda the board will discuss their liaison assignments and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a change or two, especially with solid waste and the road department.
There will be more doom and gloom regarding the budget so I have asked Randy Sanne to give us his overview of the budget and a detail of what is actually in store now that SRS has not been renewed for a third time. Hopefully, we can get this information up in the next few days but meanwhile citizen comments should be fairly interesting tomorrow.
UPDATE Today’s BOC meeting was canceled for lack of a quorum.

If Messerle(SCDC) doesn’t get solid waste, that will be the surprise.
Main retaining his position, would serve SCDC better, they need a whipping boy.
The road dept., Messerle(SCDC) would have the most to gain(favors and such), but that might be overload on him(SCDC).
