According to an agenda item the Port of Coos Bay plans to declare another emergency –
A. Resolution No. FY11/12 – 5 for Ratification of Declaration of Emergency for the 2011 Preliminary Bridge Repair Project
Will the Port make up another goofy excuse or just declare the emergency because Oregon statute says it may do so? Part of the emergency probably has to do with meeting certain conditions set by the commerce department prior to obtaining additional funding. It is unclear from the agenda if the emergency is for the swing bridge or any of the dozens of other structures along the line.
