From the Oregon Coast Alliance –

One of the things that came up at the Parks Commission meeting on the Bandon Biota exchange proposal was gorse management at BSNA and other Parks lands in Coos County.

Bandon Dunes’ presentation at the Commission intimated that they do a more thorough and long-lasting job of gorse management than Parks has been able to do, and that Bandon Dunes would like to extend its gorse management activity to Bandon State Natural Area (BSNA) as part of this exchange proposal. But Parks does have a gorse management plan, and is actively carrying it out; more staff has recently been hired to expand gorse control as part of natural resources management on Parks lands.
