This honestly brought tears to my eyes. For thirty years we the people of the United States have allowed our government to support a repressive dictator who trampled on the rights of his people and stole from their treasury. The Egyptian people toppled their tyrant peacefully and the only shots fired were at them and not from them. Yet they stood firm and their numbers grew and they proved to the world peaceful revolution is possible.
Today, they reach around the world to offer solidarity with the oppressed people of Wisconsin, Tennessee, the entire US. May we all aspire to walk like an Egyptian!
