Update. H and P for 4/29/09 is updated below.
The League of Woman Voters has always run “their†forum to promote their agenda. I have always found little in common with their ideas. They have been strong supporters of the United Nations. Look at their web site, explore around.

I just returned from League of Woman Voters. The event will be on Channel 14 starting Friday, there may also be some DVD’s available. They had the candidates from the airport board and the College board, and Kevin and Larry. They did an introduction from each person and then a question and answer. It was broken up into the three sections.
The room was full. There were plenty of congregation and choir for kevin to speak to. Anyone, who is anyone was there, I’m sure.
I believe if we could keep this recall going for another month, with more questions, Kevin would tell us more stuff about the county that we just did not know, until he spoke it.
For instance, when the question was ask of Kevin, why the IT section grew so much in funds, from $140,000 to $1,200,000. He responded with something like. “We†took all the IT monies in all the departments and brought them into the one fund, so we could see what we had.
So it that was the purpose, then why this:

Some of this stuff from the 4/29/09 may come out of IT, I do not have the follow up worksheet to look at. But there are plenty of examples below to make a point.
4/15/2009

DA H. Request Approval to Purchase Computers- District Attorney
The Board approved the purchase of 3 laptops in the amount of $2,466.40 each; 2 are included in this year’s IT budget & one will be paid from the Liquor Enforcement Fund.
I am sure I could go on and on and continue to find IT type materials, equipment etc. being purchase with money from other departments, and funds, other than IT. So all IT money has not been pulled from all the departments and placed in one fund. I may not understand what I have put together here. I could be wrong. Let me know if so.
Unfortunately, I missed the forum last night. Looking at the glaring gigantic gaps between Kevin’s figures presented with the layoffs and the figures now before the budget work sessions, apparently one can claim anything they want, when they want, without fear of questioning.
