Evidently there is a dearth of campaign sign tomfoolery going on in Coos County. Recall Stufflebean signs are being ‘replaced’ by NO recall signs prompting a call or two to law enforcement. Friday, I personally witnessed a certain airport board candidate take two campaign signs from Maple Leaf Drive, a yellow one and a white one, and place them behind the seat of his pickup.
For those that don’t know it, vandalizing or stealing campaign signs is a crime and may result in immediate arrest.
UPDATE:Just happened to be back out on Maple Leaf Drive in North Bend today and the two signs I saw removed yesterday had been replaced or returned. Special note: One of the signs promoted Jon Barton and someone had altered it to say ‘Dump’ Jon Barton.
GOOD NEWS TODAY !!!!
I LIVE IN NORTH BEND.
I CAN MURDER MY GRANNY, IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.
I CAN TEAR HER MINIATURE POODLES’ HEAD OFF IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.
I CAN BITE THE HEAD OFF HER CANARY IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.
I CAN JUGGLE KITTENS IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.
JUST AS F’N LONG AS I DO IT – TA DA – IN A F’N CROSSWALK IN NORTH BEND, IN BROAD DAYLIGHT
OTHERWISE?
COME ON DOWN…..
Get my hopes up & then drop me to my knees at one fell swoop?
On yer knees, huh Cajun?
I like that.
I know, it is campaign financing to get airport board members reelected?
Yes! That is the question. WHAT IS THE MILLION, BE IT HERE OR THERE?
Chump change! What’s a million here & a million there?
While you two are having fun I have been slaving away over budget documents. Trying to make heads or tails out of interesting line items like ‘Other expenses’ $1,000,000
Notice how, out there, someones, is always moving in to watch my back, like that.
Signs anyone? Signs, I got signs. I could put a nice addition on my place with all these signs I have collected!
So, this morning my wife tells me she had a dream about me & another woman. I’m thinking, ALL RIGHT!!! After 20 years she is finally starting to consider taking a walk on the wild side. Much to my chagrin, she finished sharing her dream. She starts laughing & says it was just like you. While working at a computer, some young gal who was your boss, proceeded to chomp on her gum & ride your ass because you didn’t know the program, smirking she tells you to click on the screen. Apparently I couldn’t understand what she was saying so I said, “spit out your gum you stupid bitch”! Then she woke up! What the hell kind of dream is that? Get my hopes up & then drop me to my knees at one fell swoop?
Hmmm, that is interesting. The signs have been
replacedreturned. Meanwhile a lot of cell phone cameras are armed and ready to capture the moment if any more recall signs are stolen.Oh come on now M, poor den has been a perfect gentleman. And he jumps “into the bowl” and look what you do to him.
They’re good at bathroom humor, because the bathroom is their sanctuary. You’ll notice the kids don’t bust into the room when the males are in there.
Let Mom try it. They stand in line.
It’s been extremely quiet on the Forum today and last night, and yesterday too.
Humm……..
What is it about boys that they always slide into bathroom humor?
Them floaters have a lot of gas in um, I’ve heard.
When you see a “Floating Turd”, flush it so the next person doesn’t have to experience it!
Thus the need to vote yes in recalling Stufflebean!
I hope this isn’t bad email policy, this is with thanks to JODY.
The people need to see this: I just noticed the graph which is soo easy to read and see didn’t come accross, when I cut and pasted. It is from an email, I will post the link.
M – WHERE ARE YOU?????? Can you get the graph off of Jodys’ last email update? It needs to be smaller, but it is so damn easy to see what he did to law enforcement and IT over the last two years. I don’t know how to do it.
Recall Update:
Coos County Budget
Sheriff Criminal Div
Information Technology
2006 -2007
$2,868,091
$192,635
2007 -2008
$1,895,150
$1,304,737
2008 -2009
$1,997,922
$1,417,441
Here is a comparison between the Sheriff Criminal Div and Information Technology and what was budgeted by Coos County. While the Sheriff’s Criminal Div was reduced by a million dollars in 2007 and 2008 the IT Dept that Stufflebean oversees increased by over a million dollars. (Note – The Jail Div, Dunes patrol, SCINT and Marine Div are separate from the Criminal division.)
Does anyone besides me find this information surprising?
For a comparison, the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay budgets on average $10,000 annually for computers and technology. They do sometimes budget more ($30,000 for a new server 5 years ago and $30,000 for the media center in the new commission room last year). Granted the counties needs are not the same as the Ports. I am looking into other comparisons also and would appreciate any information anyone would care to send me….
If you want Coos County to continue down the bumpy road of lawlessness while county employes have e-mail at work and citizens can get low cost services at the health department, you will keep Kevin, May 5, election. However if you believe the primary responsibility of county government is law enforcement and maintaining safe road systems for commerce, your choice.
Kevin Stufflebean, voted
To Place timber payments in reserve, funds, then used for:
Remodel the Ownes building.
Loan money to the Planning Department.
Loan Money to the Health Department.
To cut County law enforcement, Sheriff, jail, criminal justice.
Then voted:
To grow Information Technology IT, Department from $357,984 to $1,417,411, and still growing. Expenditures not completed under the three bid process. Contractor out of County.
To hire new assessor employee, pay rate above the published advertised job listing. Costing $6000 more in wages per year, plus benefits.
To move all assessor personnel to one office and have assessors do public counter duties.
To apply proportionally to maintain a county road with $450,000 from the road department to enable ORC to begin mining operation.
To create potential liability of $650,000. By breaking the contract of road department employees, increasing legal fees, and causing numerous law suit filing, raising insurance premiums
How will he vote, on 4/29/09, for a $500,000 single bid, intergovernmental agreement, contract for computer software upgrade to the assessors office, contractor out of county. Road department equipment auction request the auction to be out of county.
Kevin misrepresented the sprit of the open meeting rules/laws by saying he was within the law and stated on Dec. 3rd, and 16th, and 31st, the lay off of 22 persons in the road department. I listened to the “for the record audio†of the 16th, and looked at purchased DVD, channel 14 for the 3rd, and 31st. It was never said in open public session. On the 16th, just at the beginning of the executive session, the private meeting, no public access, he ask for only written notes to be taken. An allowable request, but a deceptive move to decrease accuracy of the record. Still waiting for reason, other than it is allowed.
The first quarter of 2009, he often leaves early form the BOC meeting and was absent at least one meeting per month.
Information required research time, attendance at the Board of Commissioners meetings.
Your choice.
