The Local 12 chapter of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union will not stand in solidarity with the national union. On Thursday, May 1 which is also International Workers Day west coast ports will be shut down by striking union workers in protest of the occupation of Iaq.
I guess the bosses at Local 12 only support the troops who believe in the mission.
Maybe they didn’t get the message.
Maybe their walkie talkies didn’t get the message, or the smoke signals.
Stay in the past, local longshoremen, make yerselves proud.
Shameful.
