In response to all those asking whether I will respond to Mrs Reaves, proud wife of Chief Reaves, and her personal attack on me in the Sentinel. The answer is no. Chief Reaves words speak for themselves and I make no apology or explanation for my reaction.
She is just trying to shoot the messenger to deflect the message.

I couldn’t help but laugh when you compared yourself to Thomas Jefferson. That was funny. I might have understood if any of your statements were based on truth, or logic for that matter.

It makes sense that you wouldn’t comment. Mrs. Reaves was 100% right. She could have left out the dogs comment, but I think it’s what many of us have been wanting to say =) But of course, you guys can make as many personal insults as you want…as soon as people start firing back, however, you scream “no fair!” It’s a shame.

you got that right… the sad thing is she THINKS she’s righteously supporting her husband…
while i sympathize somewhat with ‘mrs. chief’ (having been married to another infamous law enforcement department head in town for over 17 years), AND having served as a former deputy locally my advice to her is: stay out of this one honey! history proves they’ll chew you up and spit you out even AFTER you’ve supported your husband (who IS completely in the wrong by the way)
yup – members from your (his) own camp will provide the components necessary for your worst nightmares to come true. when the fecal material hits the fan and they need a scapegoat guess what? tag you’ll be it! that’s what they do, that’s what they’ve always done and better women than you and i have gone down trying.
the way i see it, facts is facts and parts is parts and what’s right is right. nobody wants to live in a police state, and if tyrants like reeves want to turn coquille into one and divide and conquer instead of serve and protect, then i hope they will remember that it might be coos county, but IT’S STILL AMERICA!!!
