Please stop protecting me Mr President. I appreciate your concern for my safety and well being but please just stop. You see I have standards and well, they differ from yours. Additionally, I have a different concept of safety and well being than you. Frankly, on this point alone I wish you would stop. Now I worry about my civil liberties when I didn’t before you started protecting me.
You see I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt, due process, fair trials, privacy and yes, civil liberties. You don’t. So please stop protecting me because it is giving me a bad reputation and sullying my relationships worldwide, the old ‘birds of a feather’ thing. So please announce publicly that you are not protecting Mary Geddry, she prefers to take care of herself. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.
