SF Labor Council Condemn Use of U.S. Military to Escort Scab Grain Ship in Longview WA

Dave suggested we contact ACLU for support. In the 1970’s President Nixon brought out the National Guard against the postal workers during a strike. But now, after 9/11 the Coast Guard was reorganized under the Navy as part of Homeland Security, the US Government will use a branch of the military, the Coast Guard, to protect a private corporation against US citizens fighting for their labor rights. U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell may be supporting the use of the Coast Guard against the ILWU.
