Like many up and coming politicians, Melissa Cribbins uses social media to distribute her campaign messages (especially since the website on her campaign signs is out of order). The Melissa Cribbins Coos County Commissioner offers a series of short messages along with occasional retorts that offer some insight into the commissioner’s positions. One, however, is a bit curious… “Coos County cannot return to the isolationist policies put in place by former Commissioners.” Not knowing the county labored under “isolationist policies” I emailed Cribbins asking for some specific examples of such a policy but am still awaiting a reply. Additionally, I spoke with a couple of former commissioners, including Bev Owen, and they had no idea what Cribbins was talking about either. If anyone has any ideas what policies isolate Coos County from the other timber counties please let me know.
Start a tsunami of truth! I like that Melissa; maybe you should heed your own advice – or is that one of those do what I say and not what I do? As I recall, Nikki Whitty previously served on the Association of Oregon Counties and another one that represented south western Oregon rural counties (can’t recall it’s name). Seems Nikki played well with others.
I guess your tsunami of truth doesn’t apply to your own constituents as evident from the so-called public meetings you held. No truth to be told there. If you want the truth you can’t control the speech. Truth is your a bought and paid for politician and you could give a crap about the truth as those living in Coos County see it. You have one vision, the one you have been paid to promote and you provide thoughtful response to those with a different viewpoint. Let me paraphase, ENOUGH!
We’ve been following this crap for weeks. It appears that few read her stuff. Strange that this is also how she lets us know the truth about her opponents statements. For example, when he criticized her support of the Tioga Gun Range, she told us that she is a long time concealed carry pistol packin Annie Oakley who has concerns that we have too many half finished projects; therefore apparently she cant support the Tioga. My favorite, in big bold letters, she tells us how she was forced to take a pay raise that she donated 100% to charity. Lets ask her to verify that county to Cribbins to charity move. She cant. To make it easy for others interested, Google “Melissa Cribbins”. Up will pop Tweets, Linked In, Pinterest, and other social media. If you enjoy the statement posted above which none of us have been able to understand, read the tweets. It’s like a mutual admiration society. She tweets nonsense and her two supporters tell her how wonderful she is. With all of the critical matters facing the county, including her concern for isolationist policies, the next time that you ask her questions, ask her how many days this year alone she has been away to Portland and elsewhere (or on the phone all day) to attend board meetings that have absolutely nothing to do with county business. Start with April 2 and May 14. Melissa, were you here working to make the citizens lives better or were you in Portland in an Energy trust meeting as they report?
