Matt and Kim Hall have picked up another south coast paper. Jean Ivey, owner of The Sentinel, signed a sales contract
transferring the paper to the Halls today. Ivey worked with Hall over the past decade on other weekly papers and had a working agreement that when Ivey was ready to slow down, Hall would take over The Sentinel. Ivey will still be at the office for the foreseeable future to allow a smooth transition while the new owners get organized.
Hall is the owner of The Port Orford News, The Curry County Reporter and recently acquired The Myrtle Point Herald.
Hopefully Hall will consolidate and his faith based papers will offer an alternative to the crappy World paper.
