RT reports that Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel is alleging the use of chemical agents by Syria against rebel forces. The report emphasizes the vagueness of the allegations and that use of chemical weapons is “difficult to confirm” and that Hagel’s allegations are “eerily similar” to Colin Powell when he held up the infamous vial of plutonium.
US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel made the claim Thursday while speaking in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, adding that the American intelligence community has determined “with varying degrees of confidence that the Syrian regime has used chemical weapons on a small scale in Syria, specifically the chemical agent sarin.”
