The most excellent local wildlife photographer, Steven Holt, will be showing his work in Bandon beginning this weekend.

The Soaring Seal Gallery is pleased to announce our premier opening of “Wild Love.”
Featuring the work of wildlife photographer Steven Holt and contributing photographers Gail Wahl and Brenda Moseley, “Wild Love” focuses on courtship, friendship and family in the animal kingdom. The public is invited to attend an opening reception between the hours of 4 pm and 9 pm on December 15. The show will continue on weekends through February 14. His photographs are used by TV networks, newspapers, magazines and book publishers, including ABC, Audubon, BBC, International Wildlife, National Geographic, Ranger Rick, Scientific American, Sierra, Sunset/and the New York Times. He is the photographer of five children’s books published by Tricycle Press/Random House: Busy Barnyard, Busy Piggies, Busy Chickens, Busy Bunnies and/B/usy Birdies. Museums exhibiting his work include the Field Museum of Natural History, the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia and the Smithsonian Institution.

Her images have been published in textbooks and children’s book and are also included in natural history exhibits. Gail Wahl travels extensively, and her love of nature shows in her images of wildlife encounters in Africa. Her work focuses on relationships and connections.
