Despite campaign promises from both Fred Messerle and Bob Main to allow contractors to bid on repairing the facility a demolition contract is expected to be awarded next week. Solid waste management staff have refused to allow access to the facility which is already being disconnected from electrical power sources. County staff laid off when the incinerators closed down in March will not be called in to help with the demolition.
Please contact the commissioners and insist they allow bids to repair the BHDS.

Mark my words, and watch and see who ends up with the jobs Waste Connection promised them. Watch and see.
My message to the county commissioners:
I find it criminal that you are not even allowing bids to repair Beaver Hill. This is a public facility that should be kept for the benefit of the county population. By it’s destruction you are condemning Coos County citizens to ever increasing trash collection bills and condemning the county’s roads to an ever increasing problem of illegal dumping.
Shame
They made promises to Waste Connections, a long time ago. They are serving their masters. What weasels. What do they say about renigging on their promise?
