Or, in the lyrics of Lenny Kravitz, ‘it ain’t over til its over’. The World in its latest crappily written editorial is trying to reduce the chromite strip mining issue to a game metaphor
The score is Miners 42, Objectors 0. The Miners have the ball. It’s first down and goal to go.
Not only are they revealing their lack of knowledge about what ‘game’ is in play but obviously the author hasn’t read Thomas Paine, The Constitution or The Federalist Papers because if they think for a second the game doesn’t involve public process they are sadly mistaken and may well wind up with egg on their face and believe me I will post every eggy graphic on the matter I can find. The World may as well be playing Quidditch a la Harry Potter for all they grasp about the situation.
All the ‘Objectors” have to do is snag the golden snitch or in this case a storm water permit, or prove process has been subverted and the game is over for ORC and The World is caught in its own bias and ignorance.
It aint’ over til the fat lady sings and there are more than one Joe Montana hail Mary passes in the grasp of some Dwight Clark wide receivers spriraling down the field as we speak. Let’s win this one for ‘the Gipper’!
Hey gmick, nick to hear from you again and thanks for the kind words. There is so much information to share I barely have time to organize it into some semblance of coherent order but we do need to get things out to the public so people can make informed decisions. Don’t know if I will have time today but am going to try and post more info before the next big candidates forum
Excellent article. Good sensible information. So much I would love to say, but right now isn’t the time. Thanks for taking the time to do your investigative work, and getting Info out there.
Oh Bandon Res, you silly goose. I saw with my two old eyes, Wittless shakin’ her page-boy and a tellin us all “We don’t need to worry about how much gold is in the sand, cuz’ ORC already told us they would put the gold and platinum back into the trucks and rebury it”.
Got that? And well, gee by golly if we can’t believe Witless to do the right thing, who CAN we trust?
Institutionalized Ignorance, and determined to remain so…..
But hey, I went to Sonora, Calif. one time and they had these guys dressed up as old miners, and for $5 bucks ya could take the kiddies over and pan for gold !!!! HOT DAMN FELLAS. This could REALLY be a gold mine !!!!!! WOWSA, jobs, jobs, jobs…….
We could take all those road crew workers and put em back to work, let me see, where’s my old suspenders and my Jenny? Oh, I forgot, we elected the arses to public office !!! Silly old me.
As I have mentioned before it appears The World editorializes on what it has been told, not what it has taken the time to learn. When it does this it reveals not just an uneducated bias, a lack of critical thinking skills and thorough knowledge of the topic they opine about but also a complete lack of regard for the readers.
They are dabbling into things they aren’t qualified to discuss and it does the entire area a disservice and makes them complicit in anything that may go wrong with in the future… like trees not growing back for generations.
Regarding Mr. Walworth’s Editorial: The Humphreys centrifical extraction machinery was designed to take GOLD from the mineral sands that ORC wants to mine. The average citizen should not be lead to believe that the very technology that ORC will be using will not be used for GOLD extraction. How can ORC NOT take advantage of this technology and NOT keep the GOLD? DOES ANYONE REALLY BELIEVE THAT ORC WILL USE THIS TECHNOLOGY DESIGNED FOR GOLD EXTRACTION TO TAKE CHROMITE FROM THESE MINERAL SANDS WITHOUT PROFITING FROM THE RESIDUAL GOLD AND PLATINUM?
If you are compelled to keep score you are going to lose.
Leave it to a cheerleader to not even understand what game is being played. In chess you can be ahead by points and still lose.
