The Committee for Fair and Open Government did it! They secured enough valid signatures to force either the resignation of Commissioner Kevin Stufflebean or force a special election to allow the voters to decide if he should stay in his position.
This notice will serve as official notification of the affirmative verification of 3773 valid signatures of registered voters in Coos County, Oregon for the Petition of Recall for Kevin Stufflebean, Coos County Commissioner, Position #3.
3773 – signatures required4747 – signatures accepted
543 – signatures rejected
Upon my return I will try and follow up with a summary of the events leading up to the recall and an update of the status of the ULP now set for a hearing in June.
I just tried to post this as a comment in The World, but they’ll never print it, so I will participate in my Constitutional Right right here:
Why are you always “not available for comment by the press?”
ALWAYS.
Do the right thing Kevin, how many more lives are you going to endanger?
A school bus next Kevin?
