It seems the low standards set by the Coquille City Council are not limited to accepting Brady cops on the police department. Earlier this year, the council approved hiring a new finance director by the name of Rick Hohnbaum. Hohnbaum, it appears has been separated from previous employment on multiple occasions and comes with a fair amount of baggage including allegations of sexual harassment raised during his tenure with the City of Gold Hill.
According to the Mail Tribune Hohnbaum, amongst other things, has “unzipped his pants and exposed his underwear” in front of female staff and patrons and one woman claimed he retaliated against her and “came to my desk and scratched his genitals in my face.”
In another Mail Tribune report it appears that the Gold Hill spent $60,000 in legal fees defending Hohnbaum before throwing in the towel and letting him go.
