The Coos County Alliance for Progress has donated $4,000 to Fred Messerle’s campaign. According to OreStar the alliance has receipted donations from all the usual suspects including Jon Barton, John Knutson, ORC and Al Pettit’s LKP Investments and curiously Kathy Erickson, former editor of The World and now field representative for Congressman Peter DeFazio.
So far the Alliance has receipted $14,300 but has not reported its outgoing donations. However, Messerle receipted the donation at his OreStar account yesterday.
ORC is the largest contributor so far with a contribution of $5,000 and Jordan Cove Energy has contributed $1,000. Until the treasurer, Jayson Wartik records the donations we will not be able to determine whether the alliance will be backing state and federal candidates as well or just local races.
Wow, Jon Barton got tired of dealing with the rest of us I guess.
He’ll just buy the BOC, aided and abetted by the very professional Clark Walworth and SCDC and the Chamber.
And to hell with you rabble in the streets !!!!
The Robinson boys running on both tickets for the election. Southern Oregone is showing herself to be quite …..well let’s see……..gee…………..

Fred again. Talking about jobs for our kids’ future.
MY kids future does NOT include destroying a creek Fred. I taught MY children they were NOT above the law.
Evidently Fred did not.
I also taught MY kids to obey the law when driving, NOT that they were so very precious they could park all day in a thirty minute space, with their husbands’ campaign materials in view.
Don’t tell me about kids Fred.
i just heard Fred M’s first commercial. Very professional, sweet little girl voice, then says we have to move this county forward. Very sweet. Doesn’t mention the fact he and his co-horts and sleeping partners have put us here in the first place.
Elect Fred so our children can stay here and have good jobs.
Maybe they can all destroy the creek beds, like Fred and his son. Worked for Freds’ spawn, didn’t it?
Good job Fred. If your idea of jobs for our children means jobs that break the law, I’ll not encourage my own children to come. What gall.
The tribe’s contribution to the “Alliance” removes any doubt about whether it is hoping to influence local elections or decisions at the county level.
Ms. G. Have you noticed that your next commissioner Cribbins stopped reporting donations on the 11th. Maybe people were getting educated and Messerle, Sweet, and Cribbins can’t have that. Maybe people foiund that the World paper article was not true and she had many more tribe and tribal members donations that Clark reported – when he told us so what if the tribe is buying a commissioner seat.
Well, well, if Fred had any ethics or character he would return the money but if he had ethics or character he wouldn’t have accepted it in the first place.
Answer to RUGullible:
The Rattle.
The alliance is headquartered in the home of Jon Barton. And, Messerle considers himself to be a snake – what would one label slimy slippery Barton?
