Coos Democrats recognition dinner tonight in Bandon

The Coos County Democrats are holding their annual recognition dinner tonight beginning at 5PM at The Bandon Community Center in Bandon. Secretary of State Kate Brown, Bill Bradbury, Joanne Verger and Arnie Roblan will be speaking and or attending as will many of the commissioner candidates. A NO vote for Messerle

if Sanne survives the primary, and I believe that he will, his chances of winning in the general are probably higher against Messerle than Main simply because so many people feel about Messerle the way this sign holder does.

Coos County Alliance for Progress picks its favorites

The Coos County Alliance for Progress apparently invited certain commissioner candidates to interview with its board members, Jon Barton, Al Pettit, Ron Stuntzner, John Knutson and Joe Benetti. The committee has made contributions to Fred Messerle in the amount of $4,000, John Sweet for $1,500, Tim Bishop for $250, Melissa Cribbins for $750 and Mary Loiselle for $250. All accepted the contributions with the exception of Mary Loiselle who had the good character, in my opinion, to return the check.
