The board of the SCCF and no doubt every other facet of the CEP is being populated with one dimensional, uni-directional ideologues. Gasp! The day after the election the representatives of the four enterprise zone sponsors appoint Keith Tymchuk, Al Pettit and Commissioner John Sweet’s campaign manager, Andy Combs to the board of the so-called foundation. The appointments replace Bill Lansing, Joanne Verger and John Whitty who resigned last spring,

The voters have spoken, Rob. Now We The People can sit back and watch. Once again, there was a very good reason why every little community in the founding of this nation had a vibrant press, sometimes two or three in every little burg. The founders knew how important an honest press was to the formation of a workable society. How the hell do We move forward and educate the voters, when the schools and society are not behind teaching US children critical thinking skills, and true history of the world, and what society has learned in the last couple thousand years? Text books with not one word of “revolution”? How can that be? This nation was founded on revolution ! But US children are not being taught to compete with other students around the world who will be prepared to thrive in the 21st century, and it’s being done right in front of our noses. Just like these ass-hats in Coos County, not a thought to later peoples, just clamor for the last shards of fuel, and then what? No one seems to give a rats’ arse about where clean drinkable water will be found for my grandchildren. Take your neighbors’ land for a part time job? Build combustible plants on sand dunes, and whittle away? The shit is about to hit the fan folks, watch and see.
To the victor goes the spoils, and the voters cannot say they were not worn.
Anyone who is surprised by these appointments is very naive. SIGs ensured Sweet’s re-election by funding his campaign to the tune of nearly $40,000. It’s time to pay the piper and start coughing up political favors. The low information voters just elected a puppet who is going to sell out the hard working citizens of Coos County. Buckle up for the ride it’s going to be long and painful. Always follow the money trail if you really want to know who is in charge of the County. #disgusted
Corruption and fossil fuels go hand in hand. This is just the beginning.
Political favors returned for kiss ass supporters. They are already sure that the money these crooks are going to steal from the tax payers can be doled out to the rest of their supporters if they can keep the environmentalists across this country from upsetting their apple cart.. Tax dollars being used as the bribe payoff, how ingenious. Its still a long haul before they can stick a shovel in the ground, which will work against them. They sure are gonna be disappointed when the check never arrives but that probably won’t stop them from trying to borrow loans against their future funding, that may never arrive.
Certainly has the appearance of political payback, huh? No doubt, it will get worse from here on out.
