A commission vote taken during a SCCF (South Coast Community Foundation) work session earlier this month was not ratified by placing it on the consent calendar at the earliest scheduled board meeting, as per county rules. Instead Commissioner Melissa Cribbins indicated the vote would wait until Commissioner Bob Main, who was unable to attend the work session, would be present to vote at the June 3 meeting. It seems that the ratification vote may be delayed even longer as there is nothing on the agenda or consent calendar referencing the work session action. The item could still be added as a late agenda item, however, late last week the triad of founding directors resigned without explanation.
What kind of reach-around will Boogher propose now? I wonder if he was told the history behind The Port of Coos Bay? Perhaps he wasn’t aware of the years and decades these Job Messiahs’ have controlled the money flow into Coos County. Either way, the poor bloke is earning his pay it seems. See what can happen when honest people report honestly what is taking place in this county, thank you to Wim, Mary,Jody,Tony,Ted, The Girls from Coquille, Phil, etc., etc. This group has operated under the radar, for much too long, thanks to the local press, who grab their ankles at the first purchase of full page ads. But we’ve seen this too many times, we’re not surprised. I think the entire populace is awakening, slowly, but finally. So we Yahoos and naysayers, and the other names we are called for having the gall to attend their meetings, and give a damn about what goes on here, rejoice in the sunlight. Scamper vermin, we’ve had enough. Time for the young ones to take over, families and working people. No more pipe-dreams, and no more BS ! My personal opinions only, always.
With all three available yesterday, what happened. Or is Cribbins hoping that we forget that she said we are not yet members?
Perhaps you have heard that Cribbie will be adding SCCF to the agenda Monday. Wants to be certain Bob Main is coming home from vacation. If he is a wise man, he may want to stay away from that funny farm. Cribbie wants to hear from Bob Main. So, perhaps Main’s first question should be, Mr. Sweet, are you a SCCF Director? Second question, Mr. Sweet have you participated in person or by phone in a SCCF meeting? When Main gets yes answers, he should demand that Sweet recuse himself from voting. Cribbie had better thank every Coos County female for voting her in.
My understanding is that Bob is well known to be returning in time for Tuesday’s meeting, so what is the hang up?
Every time that I write I remember something. I was also told that the new SCCF directors have conducted a meeting to find a rudder for the rudderless SCCF vessel. Now how do frick and frack – aka Cribbins and Sweet argue that there has been no vote of the county to join the SCCF and Sweet sits in his first meeting as an anointed director (the counties rep to SCCF)? Maybe Cribbins who has not yet been around the track wants silence now and she will claim in a few months that there was a vote and we joined. Like being pregnant. We are a little pregnant now and abortion is possible (I’m pro life). In a few months abortion will be impossible. She must be made to again acknowledge at the Tuesday meeting that the county is not yet a part of SCCF.
I believe it is fair to say that the inherent flaws in the plan are causing many unforeseen consequences. Bring out the popcorn
And remember those promises of timely meeting minutes? Where are the minutes of the May 12 meeting and any meetings since?
I believe that all Bayfront whatever meetings have also been cancelled. Truly a wassup with all this question.
