Talk about a last minute whirlwind but what started out as my desire to help the local schools take advantage of a brief window of opportunity to apply for a LPFM radio channel found me applying for a Coos Bay frequency and helping finish one for Bandon. There is no way of knowing whether any of these licenses will be awarded but we may soon see at least three new community radio stations in Coos County. lpfm_photoThe deadline for filing ends today at 3PM PT but if you haven’t already started it may be a tight squeeze to get it all together in time.
