Three finalists including interim county counsel, Josh Soper, are vying for the permanent position vacated last year by Oubonh White. Citizen comments begin at 5:30 at the Owen Bldg prior to the board entering executive session to deliberate on the finalists. A decision is expected to be made at 7:30.
Josh Soper to be named county counsel.
SusanP….if you’re not getting a County check then you can conclude that those employees are NOT yours and that you were NOT elected by the public to hire, fire or manage county employees.
If you can’t be fired for decisions the Commissioners make, then you’re not responsible in any way, shape or form.
You are, quite simply, a single vote and a single voice among 62,000-plus county residents.
Hasn’t he shown he will do what he’s told to do? Seems so.
I searched and failed. The county web site is silent. You are the current news source in the county. Who were the candidates? These are our employees, not employees of the commish trio. We should be given plenty of notice when our interview process is scheduled. Who is the winner? There should be little doubt that Cribbins will be asserting herself in all matters legal. God help us! She, with only tribal law experience, and a minimal amount after becoming one of them there lawyer people five years ago, is less qualified than Soper with one year experience. Thanks.
It’s 1910. It would have been nice to hear of this earlier.
