Two commissioners voted to adopt the lease discussed in a hearing last week despite news that the company is halting operations. Cam Parry and Fred Messerle outvoted Bob Main who called for the lease to put on hold until the company begins mining operations again. The company CEO, Wayne Knott, has stated the company may not start up again for twelve months, nevertheless Messerle declared that “time is of the essence”.
If my cell phone video turned out, I will publish it later today
Fred Messerle says, “time is of the essence.” That’s a curious statement, given that IDM International and ORC are defunct. It makes one wonder what’s the big hurry? Fred doesn’t explain, and no one asks.
Perhaps the State Attorney General should ask.
Hmmm… Trouble in River City?
Why waste the attorney generals time? The Feds have been camped out at the Bettencourt’s for some time. Have them take a look/see at the Messerle’s next. Inquiring minds want to know… Should not be too difficult. Start with verifying ownership of each Corp., LLC, Holding Company listed as owners of IDM’s stock. If Fred or Kim have an interest in one their goose is cooked.
For those who are not familiar with the term, it means that it is imperative that one party (the county) do something (execute the lease) (and immediately) so that the other party (IDM ORC) can perform their contractual promises. If you read the lease, there are no promises by IDM ORC..
Once again Messy uses a legal term that he does not understand. This fellow can’t be gone too soon.Where in the hell is the trainee county lawyer who is supposed to be providing counsel to the three wise men? If he told them to rush into this, he should be gone faster that I thought possible.
