Commissioner Cam Parry would not answer a question during citizen comments as to whether the board would put the governance advisory committee recommendations to a public vote. Instead he advised that he would be making his recommendations at the July 10 meeting
Vets in the area will understand that Mr. Parry is figmo. He can only cause damage in his remaining days. Why would Mr. Parry be agreeable to placing a ballot initiative that will be favorable to him and his doppelganger? Why does he fear the citizens so much? Perhaps he should read about the “Oregon System”. Adopted in 1902 by the Oregon legislature, it has spread to 22 other states and appears to be working well. I could not disagree more with the proposed charter; but, the two ladies from Fairview who have spent at least $6,000 from their pocket attempting to help their neighbor citizens of Coos County have a right to be heard and their proposed charter should be on the November ballot. It costs the people nothing.
