Fred Messerle’s radio spots are airing in full force all thanks to donations from special interest groups and wealthy business owners. The Messerle campaign has also purchased at least one mobile electrified campaign sign in an organized effort to get him elected. Messerle recently receipted $4,000 from a political action committee, Coos County Alliance for Progress which states it was formed to “To financially support causes or candidates for local government that embrace the concept that government exists to serve the people, not it, and who will strive to increase local revenues through responsible economic expansion.” The PAC was formed by Jon Barton, Al Pettit, Ron Stuntzner, John Knutson and Joe Benetti.
